COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina coach Dawn Staley hopes her team can get tighten up its sloppy performance from last week that led to a two-game losing streak and a short stay in the national rankings.

The Gamecocks (14-4) had opened Southeastern Conference play with three straight wins for the first time in 10 years after beating Florida on Jan. 8. The next day, they gained their first spot in the top 25 since 2003. Then came a 58-48 loss at LSU and a 66-58 defeat to Kentucky this past week, dropping them from the rankings.

Staley says her players didn't show the discipline they had for much of the season, including wins over ranked teams in North Carolina and Vanderbilt.

The Gamecocks try and break the losing streak Thursday night at Auburn.
