Walker's Extra Inning 2-Run Homer Give USC 6-4 Win

Columbia, SC (WLTX) --- Christian Walker's two-run home run in the 13th inning gave tenth-ranked South Carolina a 6-4 win over Vanderbilt in their series finale Sunday.

South Carolina improves to 20-8(3-6 SEC) while Vanderbilt drops to 11-17(3-6 SEC). The game was tied at 4-4 heading into the top of the seventh inning. Junior Matt Price again saw relief work this weekend.  He entered in the sixth inning and remained through the eleventh.

In the 13th inning, Evan Marzilli reached base on a single. With two outs, Christian Walker hit a home run to left field to put the Gamecocks ahead for good. Walker finished the day 3-5 with two runs scored and 2 RBI.

South Carolina will back at it Wednesday, April 4 at the College of Charleston. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
